Former NFL defensive end Greg Hardy sat down with MustLoveMMA.com’s Susan Cingari this week ahead of his second appearance on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series.
Hardy, who has a 3-0 MMA amateur record and 1-0 pro, has won all his bouts so far by first-round knockout. In this video, shot at American Top Team gym in Coconut Creek, FL, Hardy talks about his training schedule, his whirlwind start in MMA, and what it means to him that Dana White has given him a chance to prove himself.
MustLoveMMA has been there since the beginning of Hardy’s MMA career, when he debuted at Rise of a Warrior 21. Don’t miss the video of his incredible knockout finish!
Greg Hardy made his professional MMA debut on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series in June this year, where he defeated another former NFL player, defensive end Austin Lane, again by first-round knockout. It’s becoming a signature move for Hardy, who puts his massive 80″ reach to devastating use inside the cage.
That performance earned Hardy a UFC development contract. Now Hardy’s hoping for another repeat performance when he makes his second appearance on the show on Aug. 7. After that, White has hinted Hardy will cut his teeth on the online-streamed “Looking for a Fight” series. From there, Hardy will be hoping for a UFC shot, but for now he tells Susan he’s just happy to be working hard and learning the ropes. Watch the interview now!
