Results from electrifying March 7 ‘Brawl III: Brawl at The Rock’ Bare-Knuckle fight card at Seminoles Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood

Combat fans were treated to an electrifying evening of Bare-Knuckle BRAWLS on Saturday, March 7 at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood, it was announced by BYB President Mike Vazquez. 

Eight of the nine bouts ended before the final bell, and the one bout that lasted the distance set a modern record for the longest Bare-Knuckle bout held in the United States.  (Rene Rodriguez and Robert Brown fought five tough three-minute rounds for a total of 15 Minutes).   All other previous Bare-Knuckle bouts had gone a maximum of five rounds at two minutes per round (10 minutes of action). 

Former boxing World Champions Shannon Briggs, Glenn Johnson and John David Jackson were in attendance, as was documentary producer Billy Corben (“Cocaine Cowboy” and “DawgFight”) who was also taping for the conclusion of DawgFight Round 2.  Ex NFL Quarterback Michael Vick and UFC fighters Hector Lombard and Charles Rosa were also amongst those in attendance to see the Brawling action inside BYB’s TRIGON Ring. 

Matt Delanoit brought the crowd to its feet in the co-feature when he destroyed Mike Trujillo, flooring Trujillo three times in the first round for a TKO victory.

  • Luis Melo 3rd Round TKO over Robert Washington
  • Jomi Escoboza 1st Round TKO over Leo Pla
  • Rene Rodriguez continued his undefeated Bare-Knuckle Career at 13-0 with a Unanimous Decision over Robert Brown – 1st fight to go the distance in the Trigon and the longest Bareknuckle match in the US at 15 minutes (Five 3-minute rounds)
  • Brian Jackson 1st Round win due to disqualification of Isaiah Quinones for a blow to the back of the head.
  • Kovacs vs Barnett – No Decision due to incidental blow landed by Kovacs to Barnett’s throat.
