Her passion for Mixed Martial Arts started by accident. When an Olympic wrestler canceled an interview, strength and conditioning coach, JC Santana of The Institute of Human Performance in Boca Raton, Florida, suggested doing a story on up-and-coming MMA fighter Micah Miller – brother of UFC fighter Cole Miller. One step inside American Top Team’s training facility in Coconut Creek was all it took for Susan to be hooked.
Since then, she has interviewed numerous figures in the world of Mixed Martial Arts including Dana White, Chael Sonnen, Scott Coker, Ken Shamrock, Din Thomas, Art Davie, Frank Mir, Chuck Liddell, Tito Ortiz, Carlos Condit, Demetrious Johnson, Vitor Belfort, Dhiego Lima, Brad Pickett, Haim Gozali, Roxanne Modafferi, Tonya Evinger, Andrei Arlovski, Anthony Johnson, Greg Hardy, Eddie Gordon, Daniel Weichel, Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal, and more.
Susan also reports on the resurgent sport of bare-knuckle boxing and has interviewed a number of boxers including Antonio Tarver, David Feldman, Paulie Malignaggi, Reggie Barnett, Ana Julaton, Howard Davis Jr., Angelo Dundee, Artem Lobov, Arnold Adams, Bec Rawlings, Christine Ferea, Chris Leben, Chris Lytle, and Joey Beltran.
While not a martial artist herself, Susan is passionate about the sport and is sure that she’ll be reincarnated as a champion. Until then, she continues her quest to dominate in the octagon of combat sports reporting.
