Rumors are circulating that the headliner of UFC Tampa might be off after Raphael Marinho of Brazilian publication Combate reported that Joanna Jedrzejczyk won’t make the 116 pound strawweight limit for the bout.
Per Combate’s report, Waterson has refused to fight Jedrzejczyk if she doesn’t make weight, and has also turned down Mackenzie Dern and Amanda Ribas, who are also scheduled to fight on the card, as potential replacements.
According to reports, the UFC are now considering a fight between Jedrzejczyk and Angela Hill. In that case, Waterson would be given a new opponent on the UFC 244 card.
