UFC 244 goes down tomorrow and the weigh-in results are in, although not without controversy. Kelvin Gastelum’s team seemed worried he wasn’t going to make weight, rubbing the fighter down to remove sweat and having him strip off to get on the scales. When Gastelum came in an easy 2lb under the weight limit, it seemed like an overreaction. But eagle-eyed reporter Chisanga Malata noticed Gastelum appeared to be leaning on his coach, and a recap of the video footage shows the fighter’s elbow clearly making contact. Enough contact to shave off a pound or three on the scales? The jury’s out, but for now the fight is on. Here’s the official weigh-in results:
