Combate Americas lands in Dallas, Texas for its star-studded nine-bout Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) event at Curtis Culwell Center in Dallas Metroplex, Texas on Friday, Nov. 1. The Combate Americas live televised main card airs in the U.S. on Univision (12 a.m. ET/PT) and TUDN (12 a.m. ET/9 p.m. PT).
Fighters will weigh in at Curtis Culwell Center on Thursday, October 31 at 6:30 ET, one day before the event. The weigh-in is open to the public, free-of-charge, and will stream live on Facebook.com/CombateAmericas at 6:30 p.m. ET.
In the 175-pound catchweight main event, rising star Gilbert Urbina (5-1) of Welasco, Texas will square off with fellow Combate Americas newcomer and Team Alpha Male standout Angelo “Baby Monsta” Trevino (7-3) of Sacramento, Calif.
The co-main event will feature a women’s 130-pound catchweight clash between undefeated upstart Abril Anguiano (2-0) and fellow striker Paola Ramirez (1-2).
For the new featured bout, unbeaten Hector “El Matador” Fajardo (2-0) of Sacramento and Aaron Vickers (3-2) of Dallas, Texas will face off at featherweight (145 pounds).
In undercard action, two competitors will fight in their professional debut; Francisco Morales (0-0) of Fort Worth via Irapuato, Gto., Mexico meets Cain Bunch (0-0) of Stilwell Okla. at featherweight.
Aldair Romero (2-1) of Dallas via Lima, Peru will go to battle with Melvin Lopez (0-0) of Fort Worth, Texas at flyweight (125 pounds).
Unbeaten Paul Garza (1-0) of Houston will take on Ricky Romo (0-0) of Denton, Texas in a lightweight (155 pounds) scrap.
At welterweight, Houston native Nick “The Shadow” Gay (7-4) will face off against Victor “Kelevra” Reyna (10-4) from Arlington, Texas.
Keeping the action up at featherweight, Kyle Driscoll (10-3) will battle it out with Rey “The Warrior’ Trujillo (24-26) of Houston, Texas.
To wrap up the preliminary card, Angel Luis “Tito” Cruz (5-4) will meet Ariel Juarez (3-3) from Kilgore, Texas.
