ESPN is reporting that a non-title welterweight bout between McGregor and Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone will headline UFC 246. “Conor has signed, and Cowboy is ready to go,” UFC President Dana White told ESPN.
McGregor (21-4) has not fought since he was submitted in the fourth round of a lightweight title fight against Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229 in October 2018. Cerrone (36-13) is coming off a knockout loss to Justin Gaethje in September.
UFC 246 will take place on January 18, 2020 at T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada.
