Former Bellator MMA Fighter William Joplin has Died

Former Bellator and Titan FC fighter William Joplin has died. He was diagnosed with advanced pancreatic cancer in August 2018. A gofundme has been set up by his family to cover medical expenses and his memorial.

Joplin was a prominent figure in the Missouri MMA scene, and many fighters are sharing their memories, including the UFC’s James Krause, who said Joplin was “one of the most durable and hardest-working fighters I’ve ever had the pleasure of coaching,” a man who would “give you the shirt off his own back.”

Zak Cummings said Joplin “absolutely blew me away by how passionate he was about this sport, it was his life. He was the most supportive teammate you could possibly find and one of the toughest warriors in the game.”

Jason Witt said he was “a gritty, durable machine inside the cage and a loving, supportive friend on the outside,” and Shamrock FC owner Jesse Finney added, “If you look up fighter in the dictionary, there should be a photo of our friend Will, and we’re all better for having known him.”
