In this video Susan Cingari interviews legendary boxer Roberto Durán about the biopic, “Hands of Stone,” which details his life from humble beginnings in Panama to becoming one of the greatest boxers of all time. The movie also explores the complicated relationship Durán had with his trainer, Ray Arcel, played by Robert De Niro.
The cast also includes Golden Globe nominee Édgar Ramírez as Durán, and eight-time Grammy winner Usher as arch-rival Sugar Ray Leonard. Both Leonard and Durán trained the actors in preparation for their roles, and boxing fans will be delighted to learn all fights were choreographed to be identical to the originals.
