Muhammed Lawal will return for one final MMA bout at Bellator 233, facing Andrew Kepel in a 195-pound catchweight fight.
“King Mo,” the former Strikeforce light heavyweight champion, announced his retirement earlier this year after suffering his third consecutive defeat in a rematch against Rizin light heavyweight champion Jiri Prochazka in Japan.
“I just want to end my final fight with a win, unlike wrestling,” Lawal told MMA Fighting. “My final wrestling match was a loss, and I want to finish with Scott Coker in Bellator. Call it a wrap.”
Lawal has a 21-9, 1 no-contest, record and last won a fight in March 2017, when he avenged a loss to Quinton “Rampage” Jackson at Bellator 175.
