Per TMZ, UFC Hall of Famer Couture is currently in intensive care at an L.A. hospital after suffering a heart attack. The 56-year-old, three times UFC champ, walked into hospital and was admitted after suffering worrying symptoms after a workout at the Unbreakable MMA gym.
Couture’s MMA career dates back to 1997. He retired in 2011 with a 19-11-0 record and has since worked as an actor alongside the likes of Sylvester Stallone, Bruce Willis, and 50 Cent, as well as appeared on “Dancing With The Stars” in 2014.
Loretta Hunt, who co-authored Couture’s biography, Becoming the Natural: My Life In and Out of the Cage, tweeted he was recovering well.
