UFC’s Dana White Teases Floyd Mayweather Deal for 2020

Something’s going on between the UFC and Floyd Mayweather Jr., and UFC President Dana White teased something “fun” by fall of 2020.

“We have a deal,” White said recently. “And if things play out the way Floyd and I think they will, I’ll probably sit down with Al Haymon in March and get a deal on paper. Let’s see how the next few months play out. We could be doing something fun, probably. I think if everything goes our way, Floyd and I would be doing something in October or November.”

While it seems unlikely Mayweather will enter the Octagon, White did point to fans seeing him in action in some capacity. “The money is in Floyd competing.” Perhaps ZUFFA Boxing is being revived?

White has been actively working on a boxing promotion since 2017, but not much has been heard on that front since April last year, when he teased that something was in the pipeline. “When this summer is over, you’ll be hearing a lot about what I’m doing in the sport of boxing.”
