Conor McGregor recently posted a selfie on Instagram that shows him looking in good shape ahead of UFC 246. The fight, a headline bout against Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone in the first UFC event of the year, will take place a the 170 pound welterweight limit.
McGregor has fought in the weight class twice before, in back-to-back bouts against Nate Diaz in 2016. He fell to a submission loss in the first fight, before earning a decision victory on the replay. Since then he’s added a win over Eddie Alvarez at lightweight, before losing to Khabib Nurmagomedov in a title bid at UFC 229. Between the two was his infamous boxing match against Floyd Mayweather Jr.
After a mixed year at lightweight, “Cowboy” is also returning to the welterweight division for the first time since 2018. He’s coming off a pair of losses to Justin Gaethje and Tony Ferguson.
Who do you think will win?
